What’s happening with LGBTI Human Rights in the Asia Pacific?

In this episode Kate Galloway speaks to Professor Paula Gerber, President of Kaleidoscope Australia Human Rights Foundation, and Monash law lecturer, on recent developments in the protection of the human rights of LGBTI people. They discuss changes in international approaches to LGBTI rights and prospects for future recognition and protection of LGBTI rights. Professor Gerber points to the recent  UN Human Rights Council appointment of the first independent investigator,Vitit Muntarbhorn, to help protect homosexual and transgender people  from violence and discrimination, as indicative of positive developments in rights protection.
